Jay Barrera

Jay Barrera possesses extensive experience in cybersecurity, governance, and information management, currently serving as Director of Cybersecurity, Resilience, & Governance at John Hancock since March 2013. Barrera's prior roles at John Hancock include Director of Information Management, RM Program Manager, and Manager of BPI. Before joining John Hancock, Barrera worked at Manulife Business Processing Services in managerial capacities focusing on audit, legal, compliance, training, reporting, and quality control from October 2006 to March 2013. Early career experiences include positions at AIG Business Processing Services, The Department of Budget and Management, and Maersk Global Services Centre. Barrera holds a Bachelor of Science in Commerce, Economics from the University of Santo Tomas and has completed COPC® Registered Coordinator Training for Customer Service Providers.
