Melissa Hopkins

Melissa Hopkins is a Health Security Policy Advisor at the Center for Health Security since January 2023, focusing on health policy challenges. Previously, Melissa served as a Legislative Fellow for the U.S. House of Representatives, specializing in tech and telecom issues related to emerging technologies. Additional experience includes roles as a Law Clerk for the Committee on Oversight and Reform, a Public Policy Intern at the Fiber Optic Sensing Association, and a Legal Intern at NOAA, where Melissa conducted legal research on a range of environmental laws. Earlier work includes a Copyeditor position at Sarah Rose Public Relations and a Summer Legal Internship at the Center For Water Security and Cooperation. Melissa Hopkins holds a Doctor of Law degree from The George Washington University Law School and has studied at the University of Cambridge and Bucknell University, earning degrees in psychology.
