Raynetta Wiggins-Jackson

Raynetta Wiggins-Jackson, PhD, serves as the Africana Archives Curatorial Fellow at The Johns Hopkins University since August 2022. Previously, Raynetta was the Manager of Choir Curriculum and Performance at Washington Performing Arts from April 2018 to August 2022, where significant contributions included producing virtual choral projects and coordinating choir retreats focused on music and leadership training. Prior experiences include roles as an Independent Scholar at Indiana University, Graduate Assistant at the Archives of African American Music and Culture, and Road Manager for the Indiana University Soul Revue, among others, emphasizing expertise in musicology, ethnomusicology, and arts administration. Raynetta holds a PhD in Musicology and Ethnomusicology and has earned both a Master's degree and Bachelor's degree in related fields from Indiana University Bloomington and Berea College, respectively.
