Anne was raised in Kentucky but has lived in Johnson County for nearly 40 years. During that time, she was a principal in the Clark Pleasant School Corporation, first, at Clark Elementary where she was recognized as Indiana’s Principal of the Year and later, as a National Distinguished Principal. After assignments that included the Clark Pleasant Middle School, Anne created and directed Johnson County’s first alternative school which had the goal of inviting high school dropouts back to school to earn their high school diplomas. With a graduation rate of 98%, the Academy was named one of the top three drop out prevention programs in the nation.
