Aldo is a competition and dispute resolution lawyer with over 30 years’ experience advising on competition and consumer protection law including dealings with the ACCC.
He has been the principal trade practices adviser to Qantas for a number of years, advising on key competition issues as they arise. He also played a major role as the competition law adviser to the Sydney Organising Committee for the Olympic Games, including gaining Trade Practices Act (now Competition and Consumer Act) legislative exemptions, and advising on competition and compliance aspects of major sponsorship agreements.
Aldo is ranked as a Band 1 Competition lawyer in Chambers Asia-Pacific 2018 with "extensive knowledge" in this practice area, and is described by sources as a "friendly, courteous and trusted adviser.” He is also recognised as a leading Competition lawyer by Best Lawyers Australia (2009-2020).
