Marlene Ortega Rdn

Marlene Ortega RDN, LDN is a dedicated Registered Dietitian with extensive experience in nutrition and dietetics. Currently employed at Tangelo since January 2023, Marlene focuses on developing healthy food benefits for nutrition-insecure Americans. Prior to this role, Marlene worked at Timberline Knolls Residential Treatment Center from November 2017 to January 2023, serving as a Registered Dietitian and Dietetic Technician. Marlene also held the position of President at the South Suburban Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, organizing continuing education meetings for professionals. A comprehensive internship at UChicago Medicine offered Marlene exposure to clinical, foodservice, and community wellness settings. With a solid educational background, including a Bachelor of Science from Northern Illinois University and an Associate of Arts from Joliet Junior College, Marlene is committed to promoting health and nutrition across diverse populations.
