Joshua Thompson

Joshua Thompson currently serves as the Customer Business Unit Leader and Director of Engineering - Product Lead at Joyson Safety Systems since April 2018. Prior to this role, Joshua held multiple positions at Takata from July 2005 to April 2018, culminating as Global Director of Engineering and Program Management, where responsibilities included overseeing design and development for restraint systems for the Ford Customer Business Unit. Joshua's experience also includes senior engineering management roles focused on frontal restraint systems for Ford/Mazda, as well as positions at Takata-Petrie and Key Safety Systems. Joshua earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Kettering University between 1996 and 2001.
