Sungyong Kim

Sungyong Kim, MHA, currently serves as Agency Manager at Kaiser Permanente, where responsibilities include receiving Certificate of Need approval for a home-based hospice agency and launching its operations on Oahu in July 2023, alongside leading emergency operations for the 2023 Maui Wildfires. Previous experience includes roles such as Senior Healthcare Consultant, Business Process Consultant, and Interim Director at Grace Home Healthcare, LLC, overseeing 150 caregivers and ensuring efficient clinical operations for over 85 patients. Sungyong's military background includes serving as Operations Supervisor and Transportation Operations Supervisor for the US Army, managing logistics and operational readiness in the Pacific Theater and Northern Afghanistan, respectively. Sungyong holds a Master of Healthcare Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Bachelor's degree in American/U.S. Law from the United States Military Academy at West Point.
