Rich Mahoney

Rich Mahoney is a seasoned professional in the robotics and engineering fields, currently serving as the VP of Research at Intuitive since November 2020, where efforts focus on developing technologies to enhance patient care. Mahoney holds board positions at Kitware Inc. and Seismic, where Rich is also the Founder and CEO. Additional roles include an Advisory Board Member position at Robocap and serving as a founding president and board member at Silicon Valley Robotics. Previous experience includes leading SRI Robotics as Executive Director from 2008 to 2015 and holding managerial and developmental roles at Motorika and Applied Resources Corp. Rich Mahoney earned a PhD in Engineering from the University of Cambridge and advanced degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Drexel University.
