Axel Kratel is an accomplished technology executive with extensive experience in product management, software architecture, and cloud solutions. Currently serving as CEO at Cloudforest Investments and as a Software Architect for Kamehameha Schools, Kratel focuses on developing applications that support native Hawaiian education. Previous roles include Group Product Manager for Cloud Transformation at Guidewire Software, where the development of a micro-service based PaaS offering was driven, and Platform Product Manager at PlayStation Network, advising on technology strategy. Kratel has also held senior positions at Mozilla Corporation, Kaazing Corporation, Cisco Systems, SAP Labs, Quest Software, and Borland, contributing to various innovative projects in software development, cloud computing, and enterprise applications. Kratel holds a PhD in Physics from Caltech and a BS in Physics from UC Irvine.
