Sekhar Rao

Sekhar Rao is an experienced banking and operations professional currently serving as the Executive Director and Wholetime Director at Karnataka Bank since February 2023. Prior to this role, Sekhar co-founded Savvy, where innovative solutions for asset management companies, fintechs, and brands were developed, including the white-labelled SNBL (Save Now, Buy Later) platform. Sekhar held multiple leadership positions at CSB Bank Limited from March 2014 to March 2020, overseeing operations, technology, strategy, and change management. Previous experience includes senior roles at RBL Bank, ING Vysya Bank, ICICI Bank, Asian Paints, and Goodlass Nerolac Paints Ltd. Sekhar holds an MBA in Marketing and a BE in Chemical Engineering from Savitribai Phule Pune University.
