Elena Alessandra Federzoni is a skilled professional in drug discovery and development, currently employed at KBio since September 2022. Previously, Elena held the position of Senior Scientist at United Therapeutics Corporation from March 2018 to May 2022, managing a bioengineering program focused on regenerative medicine and leading efforts in producing iPSC-derived lung cells. Prior to that, Elena was a Scientist II and then Scientist I at Viridos, contributing to immunology research related to organ xenotransplantation. Additional experience includes serving as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at The Scripps Research Institute and a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Bern, where Elena's studies focused on myeloid cell biology and metabolic regulation. Elena's academic background includes a PhD in Clinical Cancer Research from the University of Bern and a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Medical Biotechnology from Università degli Studi di Milano-Bicocca.
