Philip Gichangi

Philip Gichangi is an accomplished professional in risk management and software development with extensive experience in the banking and technology sectors. Currently serving as the Head of Lending Risk at KCB Bank Group since July 2017, Philip has previously held the position of Senior Manager - Risk Analytics, where responsibilities included leading a team to develop credit scoring and rating models while ensuring compliance with Basel II/III. Philip's career at KCB began as a Senior System Analyst, focusing on the implementation of computerized systems for the bank's Basel compliance. Prior experience includes serving as Technical Manager at CRBAfrica, overseeing technical infrastructure across six African countries, and as Lead Developer at E-Commerce Solutions, steering software development efforts for the Kenya Tea Development Agency. Philip holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Nairobi and a diploma from KCA University.
