Jeremiah J. Monteiro is from Hillside NJ and is currently a Criminal Justice Major with a Minor in Psychology. He started his involvement by joining the Leadership Institute within the Center for Leadership and Service as he served for two years. During his freshman year, he became an Involvement Specialist in which he helped students find the perfect fit for them. His duties included presenting during the Student Group Leadership Conference, helping students find a student group that they belong to, and encouraging students towards involvement opportunities. Mr. Monteiro also served in Kean’s Student Government Association. During his freshman year, he served as the Freshman Class Vice-President. This past academic year he served as the Sophomore Class President where he thrived to lead his board. This school year, Monteiro hopes to develop more leadership and involvement opportunities for the student body as well as work to develop resources to improve retention rates.
