Dr. Nakia Simmons Cotton-Smith is an experienced educator currently serving as an Adjunct Professor at Kennesaw State University. Previously, Dr. Cotton-Smith held the position of Program Director and Assistant Professor at Clark Atlanta University - School of Education. Additional experience includes roles as a Part Time Consultant at Renaissance Learning, an Instructional Coach with BetterLesson, and an author with Edufaith Educational Services. Dr. Cotton-Smith earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Educational Leadership and Administration from Clark Atlanta University between 2014 and 2017, and a Master of Education (MEd) in the same field from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University from January 1998 to April 2000.
