Jordy van Den Elshout

Jordy van den Elshout serves as the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Kennisnet since March 2019, focusing on ensuring secure and reliable services both internally and for educational institutions. Responsibilities include developing goals, strategies, and policies for information security, privacy, and business continuity, as well as overseeing the enhancement of the Information Security Management System (ISMS). Prior to this role, Jordy served as a Senior Advisor on Information Security, contributing expertise to uphold ISO27001 certification. Experience includes working at the Koninklijke Nederlandse Maatschappij ter bevordering der Pharmacie (KNMP) as a Policy Officer focused on information policy, security, and privacy, and a lengthy tenure at The Data Caretakers B.V. in various positions including Operations Manager and Security Officer. Jordy holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Business Process Management and IT from Open Universiteit and has a bachelor's degree from The Hague University of Applied Sciences.
