Tom Schindler

Tom Schindler is an accomplished information technology professional specializing in information security, currently serving as Associate Director of IT - Information Security at Kent State University since August 2017. Prior roles include Senior Manager and Lead IT Security Engineer at the same institution, as well as Information Security Analyst at EnvisionRxOptions, where responsibilities included ensuring the security of system environments and information assets. Prior experience at The University of Akron includes positions as Information Technology Security Officer and Lead LAN Administrator, focusing on security policy development and managing teams to support extensive server operations. Tom Schindler holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from The University of Akron and has completed specialized training in IT security strategic planning and auditing. Additionally, Tom Schindler is an alumnus of the FBI Citizens’ Academy.
