Julie Schmidt

Julie Schmidt is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in community relations, marketing, and organizational leadership. Currently serving as the Senior Director of External Affairs at KET since December 2005, Julie focuses on building partnerships to advance KET's mission. Previously, as the President of Leadership Kentucky, Julie oversaw the development of educational programs aimed at enhancing leaders' understanding of Kentucky's issues. Additionally, Julie held significant roles, including Corporate Director of Development and Community Relations at Cardinal Hill Rehabilitation Hospital and Senior Vice President at the Business Council of Georgia. Julie's career began as the Executive Director of Leadership Kentucky, where foundational programs were developed. Julie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Kentucky and continues education at William & Mary with a focus on planned giving.
