Joel Sams

Joel Sams serves as the Managing Editor at Kentucky Electric Cooperatives since September 2022. Previously, Joel held the roles of Press and Editorial Manager and Managing Editor at The Council of State Governments from October 2019 to September 2022, overseeing the editing process for written content and managing the Capitol Ideas magazine. Earlier experience includes positions such as Production Manager and Writer at Asbury University, where Joel managed print production and contributed to various publications. Joel's extensive background in writing and editing is supported by a Master of Science in Mass Communication focusing on Public Relations from Murray State University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Asbury University.
