Carla Jimenez

Carla Jimenez is an experienced media professional with a diverse background in journalism and editing. Currently serving as the Audience Editor at KERA since October 2022, Carla previously held the role of Public Affairs Producer at Colorado Public Radio for two years. Prior experience includes working as a Breaking Business News Reporter at the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, where Carla covered retail and restaurant developments, and serving as The Voice editor at The State Journal-Register, overseeing a team of teenage writers. Carla's career also includes reporting on government and military affairs for the Kentucky New Era, designing information graphics at the Columbia Missourian, and writing columns and serving as a copy editor for the same publication. Carla began the career journey as a Student Assistant II at Ellis Library, where library tasks were performed while studying.
