Shardae White

Shardae White is an experienced podcast producer and community journalist with a strong background in narrative writing and audio production. Currently serving as an Assistant Podcast Producer at KERA since April 2022, Shardae specializes in crafting longform scripts, conducting interviews, and producing segments for NPR's “Consider This” podcast. Prior to this role, Shardae worked as a Community Journalist for Dallas Free Press, covering significant issues in South and West Dallas neighborhoods and engaging with the community through direct communication. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Journalism from the Mayborn School of Journalism at the University of North Texas and a Bachelor's degree in Sociology and Spanish from Austin College. Previous roles also encompass various positions in library services and retail, illustrating a diverse skill set and a commitment to community engagement.
