Hao Yu is a seasoned data science professional with extensive experience in risk management and predictive modeling across several prestigious financial institutions. Currently serving as a Data Science Manager at KeyBank since May 2022, Hao Yu leads the development of machine learning models for checking acquisition, collaborating with stakeholders and vendors. Previously, as a Vice President at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Hao Yu contributed to the development of Markov chain transition matrix model platforms for credit card risk management and conducted comprehensive analyses based on cross-functional business needs. Additional experience includes leading the Retail Risk Methodology and Analytics team at BMO Harris Bank, where Hao Yu improved loss forecasting models, and a role as Risk Modeler II at Chase, focusing on customer behavior modeling. Hao Yu holds a Ph.D. in Physics and a Master's degree in Statistics from the University of Illinois Chicago, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Material Science from the University of Science and Technology of China.
