Michael Barr is a Board Member at Keystone. Prior to that, they were the Director of Human Resources at Intercept Pharmaceuticals from January 2019 to December 2020. While at Intercept, they oversaw the hiring of 125 commercial people and helped build the commercial team in five months for the launch of OCA. Michael also partnered to drive onboarding, performance management and development while maintaining culture.
Prior to Intercept, Michael was with Halo Therapeutics d/b/a Cambrex as Director, HR Business Partner, Commercial Operations from July 2015 to September 2018. In this role, they were responsible for advising Global Clinical R & D Operations during a period of rapid growth and significant change.
Before Halo Therapeutics, Michael worked at Celgene Corporation as an HR Business Partner from January 2018 to December 2019. During their time there they supported Celgene's CAR-T manufacturing group during a period of accelerated growth, including rapid ramp up in headcount and build out of organizational capabilities.
Michael Barr graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Brandeis University and went on to get their Master of Business Administration from Duke University - The Fuqua School of Business. Michael also has certification from LinkedIn in Fair and Effective Interviewing for Diversity and Inclusion as well as Confronting Bias: Thriving Across Our Differences.
