Luis Ortiz

Luis Ortiz is a seasoned sports anchor and reporter currently working at KHOU 11 since July 2024. Ortiz previously served as a Sports Anchor at Telemundo Houston from January 2019 to July 2024, where responsibilities included writing, editing, and producing engaging sports segments that aired regularly. Prior to that, Ortiz was the Sports Director at NBC TELEMUNDO from November 2016 to January 2019 and anchored sports segments at Entravision Communications for various markets from December 2013 to November 2016. Ortiz's career also includes a role as a Social Media Specialist at Newspan Media Corporation in 2013. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Houston and an Associate of Arts from Lone Star College.
