Shay Everitt

Shay Everitt, MSW, currently serves as the Sr. Manager of Government Programs and Policies at KinderCare Learning Companies and is a W. K. Kellogg Foundation Community Leadership Network Fellow. Previously, Shay held the position of Director of Strategy, Systems Integration and Alignment at the New Mexico Early Childhood Education and Care Department and served as a Senior Advisor in the Child Care & Early Learning Division at the Texas Workforce Commission. Additional experience includes roles as an Adjunct Professor in the Nonprofit Management Masters Degree Program at the University of Houston-Downtown and as Director of Early Childhood Education Initiatives at CHILDREN AT RISK. Shay also has a background in public policy and early education from a tenure with former Mayor of Houston, Bill White. Educational qualifications include a Master of Social Work from the University of Houston and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Mass Communications from Sam Houston State University.
