Luke Woodward is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in competition law. Currently serving as Partner and Head of Competition Law at King & Wood Mallesons since June 2022, Luke previously held the position of Partner and Head of the Competition and Regulation Group at Gilbert + Tobin from May 2000 to June 2022. Luke's earlier experience includes roles at the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) from 1993 to 2000, where responsibilities encompassed Executive General Manager of the Compliance Division, General Counsel, and Senior Assistant Commissioner for Mergers. Prior to the ACCC, Luke was Principal Solicitor in the Trade Practices Unit at the Australian Government Solicitor from 1989 to 1993. Academically, Luke holds a Master of Public Administration from Harvard Kennedy School and both a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Sydney.
