Shirley Chang

Shirley Chang is a seasoned metallurgist with extensive experience in the mining and mineral processing industry. Currently serving as Director of Metallurgy & Processing at Kinross Gold Corporation since April 2016, Shirley has progressed through various roles including Senior Manager and Senior Metallurgist. Prior experience includes significant positions at Hatch, where responsibilities encompassed conducting economic analyses and developing key process engineering deliverables, as well as at SGS, where Shirley managed project finances and analyzed laboratory results. Early career roles involved technical and laboratory work at Barrick Gold Corporation and Vale. Shirley holds a Master's degree in Chemical & Environmental Engineering from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor's degree in Metals and Materials Engineering from McGill University.
