Jerita Mitchell

Jerita Mitchell is an experienced educator and program director with a strong background in physical education and sports management. Currently serving as an Elementary Physical Education Teacher at KIPP Baltimore since August 2024, Jerita previously held various roles at Up2Us Sports, including Program Director and Program Manager, where responsibilities encompassed supervising and training AmeriCorps volunteers across multiple locations. Jerita also contributed to ReNEW Schools Charter Management Organization as a Sports Coach, overseeing track and field teams and assisting with volleyball and basketball. Additionally, Jerita worked as a Personal Trainer with Ochsner Health System. Jerita holds a Master of Science in Health and Kinesiology and a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Exercise Science, both from Southeastern Louisiana University.
