Alexis Lopez

Alexis Lopez, M. Ed., currently serves as the Managing Director of Equity at KIPP Capital Region Public Schools and is the Founder of Woven Liberation Inc. Since June 2020, Alexis has held the position of Assistant Dean of Retention, Equity and Inclusion at Mills College, where also functions as the NCAA Athletics Diversity and Inclusion Designee. Previous roles include Assistant Dean of Students and Director of the First-Year Experience at Bard College, Resident Director at the Rhode Island School of Design, and various positions at Florida International University, including Program Assistant at the Women's Center. Alexis began a career in education as a Temporary Teacher and Academic Coach with Miami-Dade County Public Schools. Alexis holds a Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from Boston University and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Florida International University, along with additional qualifications from The Honors College at FIU, The Art Institutes, and Seminole State College.
