Lauren McCranie

Lauren McCranie is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in financial communications and capital markets. Currently serving as a Senior Manager at KKR since September 2024, Lauren previously held the position of Director of Communications at SOSV, where notable accomplishments included leading communications for a $1.5 billion AUM venture capital firm specializing in deep tech. Prior roles include Account Supervisor at Edelman Smithfield, focusing on strategic communications and media relations within the PE/VC sectors, as well as progressively responsible positions at The Lowe Group in financial communications. Lauren's early experience includes a public affairs internship at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. Lauren earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from The University of Alabama and furthered education at University College Cork and Università degli Studi di Modena e Reggio Emilia.
