Adam Shapiro

Adam Shapiro is a seasoned professional in the financial services and fintech sectors, currently serving as a Partner and Co-Founder at Klaros Group since October 2019, where the focus is on advisory and investment services at the intersection of finance, innovation, and regulation. Previously, Adam held the position of Regulatory Partner at Core Innovation Capital, advising on regulatory implications of investments from August 2019 to July 2023. Before that, Adam operated as a self-employed fintech advisor and consultant and led the strategic design of BBVA's open banking platform as Global Head of Strategy - Open Platform. Adam's extensive experience also includes roles at Promontory Financial Group, where Adam was Managing Director and focused on financial technology issues, alongside earlier positions at the Financial Services Authority and the Bank of England. Adam holds a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics from the University of Oxford.
