Vijay Kakara

Vijay Kakara, P.E, is an accomplished Geotechnical Engineer with extensive experience in the field. Currently employed at Kleinfelder since August 2022, Vijay previously held the position of Geotechnical Staff Engineer at HVJ Associates® from January 2020 to September 2022. Prior experience includes serving as a Graduate Research Assistant at The University of Texas at Arlington, where Vijay focused on long-term slope stability monitoring, and as a Construction Project Engineer at Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre, specializing in the design of earth retaining walls and foundations. Early career experience includes conducting soil boring and in-situ testing as an Engineer In Training. Vijay holds a Master’s degree in Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Engineering from The University of Texas at Arlington and a Bachelor of Technology in Civil Engineering from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham.
