Elisabeth Drøyer has extensive experience in international relations and policy development, with a current role as Policy Director on African Union Affairs at Utenriksdepartementet since August 2000, focusing on Norwegian cooperation with the African Union and Africa's geopolitical role. Previous positions include Senior Advisor on bilateral relations with Bosnia-Herzegovina and Montenegro, Deputy Head of Mission at the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Cairo, and various advisory roles concerning Afghanistan's relationship, security sector reform, and peacebuilding in Burundi. Elisabeth has also contributed to multilateral negotiations at the United Nations. Educationally, Elisabeth holds a Cand Philol in History from the University of Oslo and a Master of Arts in International Conflict Analysis from the University of Kent.
