Sunniva Tofte

Sunniva Tofte currently serves as a special advisor and permanent secretary for the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and Defence at the Norwegian Parliament's Stortingets administrasjon, a role held since August 2020. Prior to this position, Sunniva Tofte worked at the Norwegian Ministry of Defence for fourteen years, holding various roles including Deputy Director General and Specialist Director focused on strategic analysis and long-term planning. Other notable positions include Head of Information at the European Commission Delegation to Norway and Iceland and Senior Executive Officer at the Norwegian Atlantic Committee. Sunniva Tofte's academic background includes a PhD in International Relations and an MA in Contemporary European Studies from the University of Bath, as well as a cand.mag. degree from the University of Oslo.
