Waseem Hussain

Waseem Hussain is an experienced professional serving as the chaplain and imam at Kriminalforsorgen, the Danish prison and probation service, since November 2011, focusing on pastoral care, translation, coaching, and education on religious and cultural matters. Additionally, Waseem is an education specialist at Wiselife Academy, an assessment grader at Tayba Foundation, and the founder and manager of Nikah.dk, a wedding and marriage counseling service. Waseem holds a senior teaching position at Minhaj-ul-Quran International and chairs Zakatfonden, a charity fund. As a senior translator at Amanah Forlag, Waseem translated the classical Arabic work "Shamail Muhammadiyya" and has authored an autobiography and several Islamic books. Waseem also founded Islamsvar.dk, a Q&A website for Danish Muslims, and previously served as chairman of the Danish Islamic Center.
