Coby Maeir

Coby Maeir is an experienced sports journalist and broadcaster currently serving as a Beat Writer for 1st Ohio Battery, covering the Columbus Blue Jackets since April 2022. Concurrently, Coby works as a Play-by-Play Announcer and Color Analyst for Ohio State Men's Basketball and Men's Hockey at Scarlet & Gray Sports Radio, and as a Video Assistant and Camera Operator with Big Ten Network Student U Productions. Previous roles include Sports Writer at The Lantern Media Group, Reporter for The Fischler Report, and various positions within the sports departments at Rochelle Zell High School. Coby is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism at The Ohio State University, building a strong foundation in media production and analysis.
