Rashed Alarfaj

Rashed Alarfaj, PhD, currently serves as the Executive Vice President - Inflight Catering (COO) at Saudi Airlines Catering Company, responsible for strategic initiatives and operational oversight for inflight catering across multiple regions. Rashed Alarfaj holds several advisory positions in academia, including membership on advisory councils for the Biochemistry Department at King Saud University and the Food Science and Nutrition Department at King AbdulAziz University. Rashed Alarfaj has extensive experience in risk assessment, food safety, and quality management from previous roles at the Saudi Food and Drug Authority, and substantial contributions as a consultant and board member for various organizations, including The Global Food Regulatory Science Society. An accomplished academic, Rashed Alarfaj earned a PhD in Food and Nutritional Sciences from the University of Reading, where research focused on the post-harvest quality of crops.
