Johnu George is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the field of machine learning, cloud AI infrastructure, and software engineering. Currently serving on the Kubeflow Steering Committee and as Chair of the Kubeflow Training & AutoML Working Group, Johnu maintains the Kubeflow Training Job operator and Katib for hyperparameter tuning. As a Technical Director at Nutanix, Johnu is a founding member of Nutanix AI, overseeing the development of a scalable GenAI inference endpoint. Additional roles include Co-Chair of MLCommons Storage Working Group and Technical Lead for the Medical Working Group, focusing on the MedPerf benchmarking platform. Johnu has also contributed to The Apache Software Foundation as a PMC/Committer for Apache Mnemonic and led cloud AI infrastructure projects at Cisco, where works included developing a real-time logs and metrics service and leading efforts in Kubeflow. Academic qualifications include a Master of Science in Computer Science from Texas A&M University and a Bachelor's degree from the National Institute of Technology Calicut.
