Hatem Kotb

Hatem Kotb is a seasoned Consultant Petrophysicist at Kuwait Oil Company since January 2024, specializing in integrating static and dynamic models for field development reservoir management. Prior to this role, Hatem served as a Senior Petrophysical Advisor at Gran Tierra Energy, where standards and workflows for the Petrophysical discipline were established, focusing on carbonate complex basins in South America. Hatem's experience at Shell Oil Company spanned over a decade, encompassing various senior petrophysicist roles with responsibilities that included complex evaluations, advanced technology applications, and mentoring. Earlier professional experience includes positions at Schlumberger and Weatherford as a General Field Engineer and Senior Field Engineer, respectively, specializing in petrophysical interpretations and logging program execution across multiple international locations. Hatem holds a B.Sc. in Mining Engineering from Cairo University and a G.C.E. from the University of London.
