Butch Nielson

Butch Nielson is an accomplished Low Voltage and Network Engineer currently working at Lagoon Amusement Park since July 2024. Previously, Butch served as Facilities Manager at the University of Southern California from January 2022 to July 2024, overseeing audio-visual installations and user training. Butch's extensive experience with the Los Angeles County Fire Department from 2014 to July 2024 included roles as Captain SAR and Patrol Firefighter, leading a volunteer team in technical rescues. Additionally, Butch worked as a Network Engineer and Facilities Manager at Greater Los Angeles Scouting, managing complex network implementations and facility maintenance. Earlier experience as a Data Analyst at Xerox involved process automation and creating operational guidelines. Butch holds a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology from Western Governors University.
