Markus Aklin

Markus Aklin currently serves as the Vice President of Development for Asia Pacific and the Middle East at Langham Hospitality Group since February 2022. Prior to this role, Markus held various leadership positions at ONYX Hospitality Group from April 2007 to November 2021, including Vice President of Development, Director of Development, and Director of Projects. Earlier experience includes the role of Resident Manager at Amari from October 2004 to March 2007. Markus Aklin holds an Executive MBA in General Management from Sasin School of Management (2018-2020), a Certificate of Completion in Principles of Luxury Marketing from Sotheby's Institute of Art (November 2021), and has participated in Kellogg Executive Education programs focusing on finance, marketing, crisis management, strategic alliances, negotiations, and creative collaboration. Additionally, Markus graduated with a Diploma in Hospitality Management from SHL Schweizerische Hotelfachschule Luzern (1998-2003).
