Janelle Benson

Janelle Benson currently serves as an IBEST Literacy Specialist at Metropolitan Community College and as a Middle School English Teacher at Omaha Christian Academy, both positions held since September and August 2022, respectively. Prior experience includes roles as a High School English Teacher at Cornerstone Christian Schools, Inc. from January 2019 to August 2022, and as a Financial Aid Specialist at Bellevue University from November 2016 to December 2018, where responsibilities included verification. Additional experience encompasses positions as a Parking Services Window Clerk at the University of Nebraska at Omaha, a Barista at Sozo Coffeehouse, a Personal Caregiver for Janae Hofer, and a Student Assistant at Grace University. Janelle holds a Master of Education in Literacy from Concordia University, Nebraska, and has completed a Teaching Certificate in Secondary English Education from the University of Nebraska at Kearney, along with a Bachelor of Arts in English from Grace University.
