Kate Tompkins

Kate Tompkins is the Director of Practice Management at Lathrop GPM LLP since January 2020, leading the Intellectual Property Practice Group and overseeing the complex prosecution and transactional teams along with the operational infrastructure. With a focus on strategic direction and daily operations, Kate is instrumental in the growth of the intellectual property department across various engineering disciplines. Prior to this role, Kate held multiple positions at Lathrop Gage, Ropes & Gray LLP, Nixon Peabody, Latham & Watkins, Day Pitney LLP, Cintas, and the New Haven Legal Assistance Association, accumulating extensive experience in business development and practice management. Kate earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing with a concentration in Public Relations from Quinnipiac University.
