Hector Ramos

Hector Ramos is a Treasurer at LatinxVC. Hector has over 10 years of experience in the financial industry. Prior to joining LatinxVC, Hector was an Investor at Alectio and Bitwise Industries. Hector also served as a Founding Board Member of LatinxVC.

Hector Ramos was born in San Francisco, California and raised in the Mission District. Hector is the son of Mexican immigrants who came to the United States in the 1980s. Hector's parents instilled in him the importance of hard work and education. Hector graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in Economics.

After college, Hector worked as a Microfinance Fellow at Kiva and then as an Associate in Technology Corporate Banking at BNP Paribas. Hector later transitioned to the FP&A team at Electronic Arts (EA) before moving to Wells Fargo to work in Commercial Banking.

In their current role as Treasurer at LatinxVC, Hector is responsible for managing the organization's finances and investments. Hector is passionate about helping Latinx entrepreneurs grow their businesses and create jobs in their communities.

Hector Ramos attended the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business, where they received a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Business Administration. Hector also holds the Series 63 - Securities Agent State Law Exam and the Series 79 - Investment Banking Representative licenses from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA). In addition, they are a graduate of the VC University - Joint program of BerkeleyLaw, NVCA, & Venture Forward, a program of the National Venture Capital Association (NVCA).
