Maria Salamanca is the Director at LatinxVC. Maria has dedicated their career to fighting for social justice and empowering minorities. Maria has worked extensively in operations and strategy, and has previous experience as the COO of Swing Left. Maria has also founded the College Access and Success Initiative, a program designed to help minority and first-generation students navigate the challenges of attending top schools. The program has been successful, starting with 20 students and now serving over 200. Maria is a partner at Unshackled Ventures, and they previously served as the Executive Associate at FWD.us.

Maria Salamanca is a college graduate who has earned a Bachelor of Arts in Government from the University of California, Berkeley. Maria also has a minor in Public Policy Analysis from the same school. In addition, they have completed the Summer Venture in Management Program at Harvard Business School. Maria Salamanca also attended Kings-Pembroke College at the University of Cambridge. Lastly, they are a high school graduate of Timber Creek High School.
