Joseph McCabe

Joseph McCabe is a Floating Wind Project Engineer at Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult since October 2022, responsible for managing multiple engineers and leading engineering activities, including the design and implementation of cable and mooring test rigs. Notable achievements include spearheading the development of a pioneering dynamic cable flex fatigue rig. Prior to this role, McCabe worked as a Subsea Engineer at Subsea 7, where led a team in automating FEA analysis for special components. McCabe's earlier experience includes serving as an Onshore Mechanical Engineer at Total, focusing on renewable energy transitions, and as a Subsea Technician at OPITO, Schlumberger. McCabe holds a Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Robert Gordon University and an SVQ Level 3 in Mechanical & Process Engineering from North East Scotland College.
