Teresa Ombres

Teresa Ombres is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in mediation and law. Currently, Teresa serves as an Official Member of Lawyers of Distinction since September 2019 and has been the Principal at The Law & Mediation Offices of Teresa Ombres since June 1996, focusing on using mediation skills to facilitate amicable settlements between clients and adversaries. Teresa's dedication to continuous learning and improvement is evident through an adjunct professor role at St. John's University School of Law from 2009 to 2011, where a seminar on Judicial Matrimonial ADR was taught to students. Additionally, Teresa directed the Custody-Visitation Mediation Program at Community Mediation Services from 1997 to 2002, helping families resolve parenting issues collaboratively. Teresa holds a Juris Doctor from New York Law School and two Bachelor of Arts degrees in French Language and Literature from Fordham University.
