Charles L. Cooney

Dr. Cooney is Professor Emeritus of Chemical Engineering at MIT and has been a member of the MIT faculty since 1970. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Innovent Biologics, Greenlight Biosciences, Codiak Biosciences, Elektrofi, Levitronix, Boyd Technologies, and Iterative Scopes. He previously served as Director of Genzyme Corporation from 1983 to 2011 and as Faculty Director of the Deshpande Center for Technological Innovation at MIT. He is a Trustee of the Norman B. Leventhal Map and Education Center at the Boston Public Library, Trustee Emeritus of Boston Ballet, and Advisor Emeritus of the Boston Symphony Orchestra.
