Anna Berlina acts on a range of advisory and contentious mandates, including advising on disputes, restructuring and HR policies. Based in Moscow, Anna heads the employment and migration law practice at Pepeliaev Group, which is one of the strongest in Russia.
For over 10 years, Anna has been providing legal support on a wide variety of employment law issues. She represents clients in court during labour disputes, as well as when they have dealings with the State Labour Inspectorate and the Public Prosecutor’s Office. She provides support when employees are dismissed, including on a large scale and in working together with trade unions. In addition, she advises on: guarantees and compensation (safeguarding employees against currency exchange risks, devising incentive schemes, reducing the amounts of salaries, and so on); agency labour; transferring employees; and counseling clients on other employment law matters. Anna also assists clients in compiling HR documents, including employment agreements, internal employment regulations, and the like.
Anna’s professional experience involves protecting the interests of major Russian and foreign companies. Anna’s most successful achievements include, among others, successfully representing a large Russian investment company in a labour dispute with an employee; handling awkward dismissals (including those of union leaders); and supporting initiatives undertaken by clients’ HR departments (transfers, introduction of remote work, etc.).
