Michele Boggia

Michele Boggia has extensive experience in the field of data science and machine learning. Michele recently joined LeadDesk as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer in October 2022. Prior to that, Michele worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Helsinki from December 2020 to September 2022 and from December 2020 to August 2021. Michele also held the position of a Natural Language Scientist at GetJenny from August 2019 to November 2020 and from December 2020 to September 2022.

Before joining GetJenny, Michele worked as a Data Scientist at Intervieweb from January 2019 to July 2019. Michele also gained experience as a Junior Data Scientist at TECH ENGINES from October 2018 to December 2018.

Earlier in their career, Michele worked as a Doctoral Researcher at The University of Freiburg from October 2014 to June 2018. During this time, they focused on the calculation of one-loop corrections within the singlet extension of the Standard Model. Michele also took on various teaching assistant roles during their time at the university.

In addition, Michele has undertaken internships to further enhance their skills and knowledge. Michele completed an internship at Wolfram, where they worked on projects to improve the performance of the computation program Mathematica using the Wolfram Language. Michele also worked as a Summer Intern at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory, where they developed particle identification analysis and improved their C++ coding skills.

Michele Boggia completed a Bachelor's degree in Physics at Università degli Studi di Torino from 2008 to 2011. From 2011 to 2014, they pursued a Master's degree in Physics at the same university. Later, from 2014 to 2018, Michele obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Physics from The University of Freiburg.

In addition to their formal education, Michele Boggia also pursued various certifications. In 2018, they obtained certifications in "The Data Scientist's Toolbox," "R Programming," and "Getting and Cleaning Data" from Coursera. In 2019, they attained a certification in "Deep Learning A-Z™: Hands-On Artificial Neural Networks" from Udemy. In 2020, they acquired certifications in "Functional Programming Principles in Scala" and "Natural Language Processing in TensorFlow" from Coursera. Finally, in 2022, Michele obtained a "NVIDIA DLI Certificate – Fundamentals of Accelerated Computing with CUDA Python" from the NVIDIA Deep Learning Institute.
